We seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it. The UAE has clear - and strict - laws against cybercrimes, with various penalties that can include lengthy prison terms and fines of up to Dh3 million.
UAE Cybercrime Law No. 5 of 2012, which was issued by the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, includes a range of violations and penalties, with fines ranging between Dh50,000 and Dh3 million depending on the type and severity of offence. This law serves as a base to protect minors from any abuse or offence committed and established to be a Cyber Crime with severity if the victim is a minor.
Therefore, Care needs to be taken when posting pictures of others online, including via social media sites since the Cyber Crimes Law (Federal Law No. 5 of 2012) makes it an offence to use any IT means to breach someone else's privacy, including by taking pictures of others, or publishing or displaying those pictures.

 

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.
This privacy policy applies to all information collected through our mobile application, and/or any related services, website, sales, marketing, events or challenges.
Please read this privacy policy carefully as it will help you make informed decisions about sharing your personal information with us.  

If you are not of legal age (in many jurisdictions, this age is 18), you may use ShowUoff app and disclose any information to us with your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent.

We only collect personal information from a child under 13 years old if the child has obtained parental consent or if the parent himself has signed up the child to use ShowUoff app. If you are under 13, please do not send us any Personal Information about yourself if you have not obtained prior consent from your legal guardian or parent, or if your parent or legal guardian has not signed you up to use our Service, and please do not send any Personal Information other than what we request from you in connection with the Service. If we learn we have collected Personal Information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 13 may have provided us personal information in violation of this paragraph, please contact us at admin@showuoff.com.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

We collect the following types of personal information: your contact information (such as name, email address, or phone number), birthdate, name and sport of interest, username and password, information you provide by interacting with us, and photographs and videos that you submit on our sites or through our social media channels.
You don’t have to provide any information that directly identifies you. However, we will ask you to provide certain personal information as necessary to provide you with requested products and services, complete the relevant transaction, or, if you wish, to avail of special features or functions of our App.
Sharing and Search
The users posts’ and comments are accessible and visible to all users of the Showuoff app. There are no private channels or personal chat areas on Showuoff app. Users can search for each other on Showuoff app with a username using the search tool.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.  

2. HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION?

ShowUoff grants You the right to use its platform for free, in return, we process your personal information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.
We use the information we collect or receive:  

• To improve our Services and Products. We may use your information to personalize the content and features. We may also use the information to provide you with any technical or customer support you might need. We want to understand how you interact with ShowUoff App so we can improve and develop new services for you at a high standard. We may also conduct statistical analysis for business planning, for example to identify which are the features most popular and used. It is in our legitimate interest to offer our users the best experience and services.
• Non personal information. Includes the number and frequency of visitors and the length of their stays or other technical information, for statistical analysis, research or reporting purposes.
• To send you marketing and promotional communications for Business Purposes and/or with your Consent, if this is in accordance with your marketing preferences. As You can opt-out of our marketing emails at any time.
• To send administrative information to you for related to your account, our business purposes, and/or for legal reasons. We may use your personal information to send you product, service and new feature information and/or information about changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
• Fulfill and manage your orders for Contractual reasons. We may use your information to fulfill and manage your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges made through the App.  
• Administer sports challenges We may use your information to administer the sports challenges.  
• Request Feedback for our Business Purposes and/or with your Consent. We may use your information to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our Site. 
• To protect our Site for Business Purposes and/or Legal Reasons. We may use your information as part of our efforts to keep our Site safe and secure (for example, for fraud monitoring and prevention).
• To enforce our terms, conditions and policies for our business purposes and as legally required.
• To respond to legal requests and prevent harm as legally required. If we receive a subpoena or other legal request, we may need to inspect the data we hold to determine how to respond.
• For other Business Purposes. We may use your information for other Business Purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Site, products, services, marketing and your experience.

3. WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE?

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations. 
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others, and will not do so except as required by law or in connection with a merger, asset sale or similar business transaction. We may share aggregated demographic or non-personal information not linked to any personal information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, company affiliates and advertisers. We use third-party service providers to help us operate our business and the ShowUoff app or administer activities on our behalf.

• In order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena (including in response to public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements).
• Where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved. 
• We may share your data with third party vendors, service providers, contractors or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. Examples include: payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service and marketing efforts. We may allow selected third parties to use tracking technology on the Site, which will enable them to collect data about how you interact with the Site over time. This information may be used to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. Unless described in this Policy, we do not share, sell, rent or trade any of your information with third parties for their promotional purposes.  
• In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
• We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this privacy policy. Affiliates include other companies that we control or that are under common control with us. We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services or promotions.
• We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.
• When you share personal information (for example, by posting comments, contributions or other content) or otherwise interact with public areas of the Site, such personal information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside the Site in perpetuity.

5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless otherwise required by law.  
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures. However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our App is at your own risk. You should only access the services within a secure environment. Despite our best effort, no security measure is ever perfect or impenetrable. In the event of a data breach, we will notify users by posting notice on the affected ShowUoff website or app.

7. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?.

By using the Service, you represent that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the App. If we learn of any breach, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.

 

8. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

Account Information

You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by:

• Logging into your account settings and updating your account. From the Setting you can permanently delete your account.
• Contacting us using the contact information provided below. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements.

For personal information that we have about you, you can request the following:
Delete Data : You can ask us to erase or delete all or some of your personal data (e.g., if it is no longer necessary to provide Services to you).
Change or Correct Data : If you have created an account on our App, you can edit some of your personal data. You can also ask us to change, update or fix your data in certain cases, particularly if it’s inaccurate.
Object to, or Limit or Restrict, Use of Data : You can ask us to stop using all or some of your personal data (e.g., if we have no legal right to keep using it) or to limit our use of it (e.g., your personal data is inaccurate or unlawfully held).

Cookies and similar technologies
Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies. If you choose to remove cookies or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our Site.
Opting out of email marketing
You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send or by contacting us using the details provided below. You will then be removed from the marketing email list – however, we will still need to send you service-related emails that are necessary for the administration and use of your account.
